Notice of Public Meeting for Owen Sound River District 2024 Budget

Please be advised that the Owen Sound River District Board of Management (RDBM) intends to hold a Public Meeting respecting the 2024 River District budget.

Public Meeting:

The public meeting will take place during the regularly scheduled RDBM meeting as follows:

          Date:        Wednesday, January 10, 2024

          Time:        5:30 p.m.

          Location:   City Hall, Council Chambers

                         808 2^nd Avenue East

                         Owen Sound, ON N4K 2H4

The meeting can be viewed live on the City’s Council and Committees webpage.

Public Comments:

Oral and written comments will be considered at the Public Meeting. Written comments will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, and may be submitted to Staci Landry, Deputy Clerk as follows:

Written comments received by January 4, 2024 will appear on the RDBM Meeting agenda which will be available for review on January 5, 2024, on the Council and Committees webpage.

If you wish to participate in the Public Meeting electronically, you must contact the Deputy Clerk by Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at 4:30 p.m. at slandry@owensound.ca or 519-376-4440 ext. 1235 to be registered to participate in the Public Meeting.

Personal information is collected under the authority of the Municipal Act, 2001 and will be used to complete the budget process. Questions about this collection should be addressed to Staci Landry, Deputy Clerk.

At its meeting on November 8, 2023, the RDBM considered the following staff report and approved a 2% budgetary increase for the draft 2024 operating budget to be presented to the River District Business Improvement Area membership.
