Becker Shoes is one of the longest operating family-owned Canadian shoe retailers still in operation. In 1933, Clarence Becker opened the first Becker Shoes store in Hanover, Ontario. Taking the time to get to know each customer and their foot's needs, this helped make Becker Shoes a success and a cornerstone of the community.

Clarence's son, Earl continued the tradition of personal service and selection, expanding the business with a second store in Collingwood, Ontario. The growth continued throughout the nineties and into the new millennium, when grandson, Doug Becker took over the family business. Now with sixteen Becker Shoes store locations across Ontario, Becker Shoes is still operated by the Becker family.
