PRIVATE WORKSHOP - Woodturning: Bowls and More with Carl Durance - 2 Day
Through this comprehensive hands‐on workshop, learn to turn wooden bowls, from basic through more complex forms. Topics will include safety considerations, wood selection, design considerations, tool selection, sharpening, mounting options, wet versus dry turning, turning techniques, and finishing. Each participant will have the opportunity to turn two bowls during the workshop. As time permits, various alternative designs, from functional to decorative, may be demonstrated and/or discussed in addition to the hands‐on class projects, such as natural‐edge and square turnings.
This is a two day workshop. Each day will begin at 9:00 am and end at around 4:00 pm. The workshop will be held at Intersections Wood Collaborative at 299 10th Street E., Owen Sound.
Basic woodturning skills are required.
Materials fee of $35.00 payable to instructor at start of class.
