Pottery - Tiny Tea Pots
This novice pottery workshop will introduce you to 'throwing off the hump' a technique of pulling multiple pieces from one lump of centred cay. Your instructor will refresh your Clay 1 skills and show you how to form and release miniature tea pots on the wheel. This is a great introduction to this skillful production technique. You can use this in you own studio as you begin to throw larger forms 'off the hump'. Each student will produce 2 tea pots and will be given time for some decorative underglaze touches. Additional teapots many be kept for $10/ piece Students must have completed Clay 1 or have the ability to centre clay and pull a small cylinder DATES & TIMES Sat Nov. 9th 12:30pm to 4:30pm YOUR TUTOR Michelle Minke.
