OIL PAINTING BASICS
Have you ever wanted to try oil paints but felt intimidated or unsure? Painter Katharine Kennie will show you that using oils can be as simple or as complicated as you make it. Katharine believes oil painting is actually extremely beginner friendly and offers some benefits over other painting mediums. We will be discussing all the basic materials in an oil painting studio, and you will get some hands on experience creating a small painting of your own. This is all about experimentation and playing with a new material while learning some fundamental skills in the process. This workshop is perfect for total beginners or painters that are familiar with other mediums (such as acrylic, gouache or watercolour). Please come prepared with any questions you might have and an open mind to experimenting. DATES & TIMES Sunday November 3, 2024. 9:30am - 4:30pm YOUR TUTOR Katharine Kennie.
