Whether they are irreverent, sentimemtal or artistic, embroidered cards have been used since the turn of the century to send holiday greetings. With the rise of digital media, it is the perfect opportunity to up-cycle Christmas cards and add a personal touch to your yuletide wishes. Pick from our selection of cards (or bring your own) and, using simple embroidery techniques, fabricate charming and personal festive works of art. This is a great workshop to bring friends too and enjoy a glass of wine as you prepare for the festive season ahead. All materials provided. DATES & TIMES WED Dec 4th 6:00pm to 8:30pm YOUR TUTOR Pam Woodward. Pam has worked in theatre, film, and television costuming for over 40 years. She has specialized in textile design techniques including fabric dyeing, painting, surface embellishments, and fabric manipulation. As a costume dyer and decorator, Pam has worked for CBC, The National Ballet of Canada (Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker Suite, Romeo and Juliet, The Taming of the Shrew, Firebird ), The Canadian Opera Company (Madame Butterfly, Norma, The Golden Ass, Idomineo), Livent (Phantom of the Opera), and Mirvish Productions (Miss Saigon, Crazy for You, Mama Mia, The Lion King), as well as a number of feature films and made-for-TV movies.
