IF YOU LOVE ACOUSTIC GUITAR, then THIS is a Sunday afternoon event NOT TO MISS! Two hours of original classical and traditional Flamenco guitar compositions written and performed by Gary Santucci. Gary's guitar music is a meld of many different influences; Spanish classical & flamenco, Euro-jazz, Blues, American jazz, concerto, fugues, classical Urdu Indian ''ragas'' and even The Beatles; genres fusion in the truest sense of the word ! Having composed more than 100 works for solo guitar and other instruments, he is currently developing jazz quartet arrangements for classical guitar accompaniment, and, hopefully a reunion of the very unique SpanJazz Band sounds will happen again soon. BIO --- Gary trained with classical and Flamenco Maestroes Patricio Galindo Sanchez and Juan Fenollosa in Valencia, Spain before returning to Hamilton where he performed as a concert musician, taught, gathered local artists and activists via McMaster Radio to promote interdisciplinary artistic collaborations. He has been creating arts venues for many years; achieving many cultural arts awards along the way (Best Classical Musician 1981, Hamilton LifeTime Achievement Award 2008); Artisitic Director(The Pearl Company);creating international ensembles everywhere. He is a musical artist as well as playwright, poet, actor and production genius. The latest theatrical event, ''The Sacrifice Zone/Code RED'' is a one-man show juxtaposing Odysseus and a modern day urban street crime scenario. . . VERY creative, provocative work!
