Families with children ages 5 and up are invited to a picture book reading with local author Amy Darrell to celebrate her book Bumper: No Sight, No Sound, No Problem!. Joining her is Bumper, the star of the book. Born deaf and blind, Bumper moves through the world differently than other dogs, but with an an adventurous spirit and big heart. This book celebrates the diversity of ability and features the artwork of 82 artists from around the world. A question and answer period will follow along with a Bumper-themed activity. Please note that while Bumper is a friendly dog, he communicates through touch with his humans. We kindly ask that attendees not pet Bumper at the program as pets can be confusing.
