This 3-day intensive pottery launchpad is the perfect introduction to hand building with clay. Learn how to construct bowls, drinking vessels and boxes under the guidance of Heather Dynes Smit an accomplished potter with an impressive portfolio. In this 3 afternoon course you will spend 2 classes building specific forms with clay (coffee mug, bowl, lidded box) and the third class glazing and decorating the pieces. Heather will teach you how to build your own tools and forms as part of this workshop. This will allow you to build a personalized style that you can replicate and grow with. This class is a prerequisite for possible admittance to open studio at GB Arts as a hand builder. All pieces made during class will be glazed and ready for pick up within 2 weeks. 4 pieces will be included with your course, additional pieces will cost $10 (+tax) each for firing and glazing. Some size restrictions will apply.
