Alzheimer Society of Grey-Bruce Coffee Break

Cost: Free

Together, we can make a meaningful difference for local families living with dementia. When you support Coffee Break, you're helping provide vital social recreation programs, education, and support services that empower people living with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, and the care partners who walk beside them every day.

Join us on September 11th, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the New Life Centre (201 4th Ave, Owen Sound) for an afternoon of coffee, connection, and community. Meet our team, learn about the impact of local dementia support services, and discover how a simple cup of coffee can help change lives across Grey-Bruce. For more than 25 years, Coffee Break® has brought communities together to support people affected by dementia. Thanks to the generosity of local supporters, more than $25,000 was raised last year to fund essential programs and services right here in Grey-Bruce.

This year, we're aiming even higher. With more than 1,100 local families currently impacted by dementia, the need for compassionate support has never been greater. Every dollar raised stays local, helping individuals and families access education, social recreation programs, support groups, and one-on-one guidance when they need it most. Most of us have enjoyed a quiet moment with a cup of coffee, shared a laugh with a friend, or taken a break from a busy day. For many care partners, those simple moments can feel out of reach. By supporting Coffee Break, you're helping ensure that families affected by dementia have access to the resources, support, and community connections that make those moments possible again.

September is World Alzheimer's Month, a time to raise awareness, challenge stigma, and show support for those affected by dementia. As we approach World Alzheimer's Day on September 21, we invite you to join us, share a coffee, and be part of creating a more dementia-friendly Grey-Bruce. Because together, no one has to face dementia alone.
